PrayerAxis is a free, community-driven platform providing:

• A global directory of Islamic places (mosques, halal restaurants, Islamic schools, etc.)
• Accurate daily prayer times for cities worldwide
• Islamic event listings and community news
• Educational blog content about Islam and Muslim community life
• A public REST API for third-party developers

The platform is provided free of charge with no subscription fees and no advertising.

User Accounts

Registration: Creating an account is optional for browsing. It is required to submit places, write reviews, or post events.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at [email protected]
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

Account suspension: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice in cases of serious violations (spam, fraud, abuse).

User-Submitted Content

By submitting places, reviews, events, or any content to PrayerAxis, you:

• Confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, modify, and distribute the content on the platform
• Retain ownership of your original content

Content standards: All submitted content must:

• Be factually accurate and not misleading
• Not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• Not contain spam, hate speech, harassment, or illegal material
• Not include personal data of others without their consent
• Be relevant to Islamic places, prayer, or Muslim community life

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards without notice.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the site in bulk without written permission
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent place listings or reviews
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
• Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the site except through our official API
• Impersonate any person or organisation
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or degrades the performance of the platform
• Use the platform for commercial advertising or spam without permission
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

API Usage

Our public REST API is provided for personal and non-commercial use. When using the API you must:

• Respect the rate limits (60 requests/minute by default)
• Include a meaningful User-Agent header identifying your application
• Credit PrayerAxis as the data source in your application
• Not resell or republish the data as a competing service

Accuracy of Information

Prayer times are calculated using standard methods (MWL, ISNA, etc.) and are provided for guidance only. Always verify times locally, especially during Ramadan. Place listings are user-submitted and may not be fully up to date. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any information on the platform.

Intellectual Property

PrayerAxis platform (excluding user content): All source code, design, branding, and original content is owned by PrayerAxis and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Data attribution: Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Prayer times data from Aladhan API. Place images may be subject to their respective owners' rights.

Trademarks: The PrayerAxis name, logo, and associated marks are our trademarks. You may not use them without prior written consent.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

PrayerAxis is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which is €0 for free use)
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted content
• We are not liable for interrupted access due to maintenance, technical issues, or force majeure

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g., death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Content Moderation & Enforcement

We moderate user-submitted content and reserve the right to:

• Edit or remove any content that violates these Terms
• Issue warnings, suspend, or permanently ban accounts for violations
• Report illegal content to the relevant authorities

Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases, but provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, etc.) will continue.
